What are the working hours at Beyond Family Health and Community Service?

At Beyond Family we believe in creating an open environment and flexible work hours for our caregivers. As a result, those who provide “in-home” support can expect different work schedules that reflect our 24/7 services. These schedules are generally 2-8 hour shifts that can include mornings, evenings and weekend shifts depending on the position and/or location.

Do Personal Support Workers need to have cars?

Although you may not need a car, it will be greatly helpful. Caregivers willing to drive are responsible for driving to and from clients, taking them to appointments, or accompany clients on daily or weekly outings.

What if I need a Personal Support Worker quickly?

Depending on availability of the social worker, location, and client needs, we might be able to get client care within 24-48 hrs. Typically, we begin with a client personal care assessment to match client to personal support worker, keep in mind that process, in most cases, takes 1-3 days.

How can I monitor daily reporting?

Our clients will receive a login access to our family portal by a registered email that client's give us. Client's may have multi contacts emails to their family portal- each contact can be assigned limited restrictions by request to the office at any time. Login access allows family to see the care giver assigned to their loved one, the date and time the service is on the calendar. You can see the real time reporting after a shift is completed and be notify of any caregiver messages from that completed shift.
We also can do a two point reporting by request. Two point reporting is still paper reports as well as the real time reporting. it maybe more work for the caregivers but some client's don't always have access to login online and want to keep the paper reports going.                                            
You can also send request to office staff though the portal at any time, such has adding a new duty to be added to the service or a change in service dates. Our staff is notify on real time and can make the changes quickly prior to schedule start times
